Sabbaths, W.I.

Ces villages frapps avec le melancholia de dimanche, en tout lequel
des rues ocres un chien dort

ces volcans comme ashen des roses, ou la blessure incurable de la
pauvret, autour de dont a froiss les garons minces de bouche
vendent la pierre jaune de soufre

les feuilles brles de banane qui dansaient le fleuve dont le lit
est fait de bouteilles casses la plantation de cacao o les bruits
d'un cri d'oiseau dont verts et jaunes et dans les lumires sous les
feuilles se sont leves la crte avec la flamme orange a
oubli sa cannelure

gommiers pluchant du coup de soleil luttant toujours pour chapper
la mer

le bleu de rotation de lzard mort comme pierre

ces fleuves, fils de salive, qui ont oubli la vieille musique

cet esplanade sec et bref sous les amandes plus sches de mer o les
vieux hommes secs se sont assiss

l'observation d'un schooner blanc a coll les branches et en jouant
des bauches avec les oiseaux mobiles de frgate

ces hillsides aiment les pots casss

ces fougres qui ont embouti leurs squelettes sur la peau

et ces routes qui commencent reciting leurs noms aux
vespers

les mentionner et ils arrteront ces crabes qui taient disposs
ont laiss un passage d'poque ces hrons comme les clibataires
qui ont dout de leurs rflexions s'enqurant, s'enqurant

ces orties qui ont attendu ces dimanche, ces dimanche

dimanche o les lumires l'extrmit de la route taient une
occasion

dimanche o ma mre s'tendent sur elle en arrire dimanche o
les soeurs se sont runies comme les mites blanches autour de leur
lanterne de rue

et les villes nous ont passs prs sur l'horizon
