When you are writing a novel or story, how important is the location of the main character's home being included in the story because I've designed the setting but I can't figure the state or city. And my characters have to move around a lot. I'm just about to give up on Location. If you need me to clarify, let me know.

It is your original idea. The answer would really depend on how much importace you gave the character's home---it is your original work, so do not ever be afraid to step outside of the box---and command your vision.

the book I am writing about takes place in several different 'settings', so home is where the particular chapter I am writing about is happening at. If this doesnt help your welcome to come in and read what I am writing.
I have been posting it on cherrytap as I go along.
good luck

Thanks so much :D to both of you. It's just the setting in one home doesn't exist so i had to find what state could I place it in that has a lot of land to be a reclusive spot and be close to my description. My story -though not real- has to have real roots.
