Okay Can anyone tell me if I should trust some free music composing software sites? I mean I'm feeling my way around everything now and I don't know if I might regret downloading. If Free music software is not a big joke can anyone send me some links that are legit?

Hi, Lakenya--
This is not my area of expertise--I'm posting an answer so you know someone's listening :P I actually have some information for you, but I don't know how helpful it'll be.
My son is totally into making music on his computer, and he says creating on a Mac is the best experience he's ever had.
I did a quick search online for a Windows version of Garageband (I think that's the name of the Mac software)--and I came up with this link:
http://createdigitalmusic.com/2006/06/05/m-audio-clones-garageband-for-windows-but-will-windows-users-care/
The reviewer was not impressed with the software, from what I can tell, and I didn't see any links regarding free software. :(
I'm sorry I can't help more.
I'm sure someone in here will come across your post and have more information.
As an aside, I recommend checking into http://www.Stumbleupon.com--I've come across great links regarding the craft of writing that I wouldn't have otherwise found, and I'm sure the same is true for music. (This networking site has a lot of Indie musicians on it--they even made a CD!)

Thanks for replying, and my gosh I know working on a mac is the best because I used to work on it in film class before. Unfortunately I have no Mac comp. Thanks for the link though.
