ONE PERSON CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE - PREDATOR CAUGHT

I have to applaud you for your dedication of standing up for these children.
  I and my sister were victims of an uncle when we were very small, and of course none believed us until  he was caught in the act. Even then my family chose not to press charges. by the time I was  23 He was  arrested and  being prosecuted for molestation of a minor, possessing child porn and abuse of a minor with intent on 3 other children.  I opted to serve as a character witness against him.  It took almost 20 years for my day to come to break away from the shadows and doubt that my family chose  to cover it up with , but Happily I know my nieces and nephews are safer with this man finally behind bars. 

I opted to not appear in person but sent my stories to the prosecutor, Marc Guthrie is currently serving 15 years due to be released in another 10  but up for parole in 5.  My  voice was late in  being heard, but it was never forgotten and thankfully I helped stop him from making more victims. For now at least.

Trust in my family has always been stressed or at best eccentric sporadic and un-trusting, because a child's voice wasn't listened to once. I know I will never make that same mistake.

It has taken a lot of years for God to get me into the right place after what happened to reach out and help others.  It was my innermost thoughts of wanting to help others since the day we walked through our nightmare.  I am blessed and honored that today, I can be there for others and help law enforcement capture these people, even if it is one by one.

There is no thanks needed really, If I didn't do something for others at this point, I don't think I could live with myself knowing I could help and make a difference and didn't.  I also was molested by an uncle when I was younger, and the story of my children and what has led up to Child Predator Busters is in the book I am working on that will teach others some of the things they need to know in dealing with this issue. 

I looking back, there are so many things we could have done different, but didn't know how, and believed we were doing what was right.  Today, I look at it from a different prospective and realize, we can make a difference.  It is because of volunteers sending us leads on profiles they think might contain a glimpse of what could be a child predator and the great people with us that help with the investigating, and the law enforcement officials that have come on board that we are having the success we are.

Have any of you been watching the Dateline to catch a predator with Chris Hanson, i think it's great what he is doing, it also makes parents and kids themselves more aware of the dangers on the internet regarding child molestors and sexual predators, if you havn't heard of it or would like more information on whats its about you can visit this link for more information http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17584928/
The more people that are aware of the dangers the better off kids will be, the internet doesnt have to be an unsafe place for kids if parents warn them and know the danger zones.

Thank you for responding to my post and I'm sorry its taken so long to respond to you, but I had eye surgery.

If you go  to our site or here within our child predator board, we have many positions opened for people to help.  Volunteers are definitely needed as we are growing by leaps and bounds.
