We are holding our first contest, which is just for fun. But, what types of contests should we have in the future?

Photography, Art, what else...

Well after looking at a couple of ppl's blogs and stashed, I would say you could have a contest on different type of poems, like: love poems or just a general poems contest. I don't think I've seen on of those on CT.

and another one instead of who is sexest or prettyest or most popular how about who is the nicest or who always trys to help others

Before I offer my suggestion, I want to tell you, Bryant, that this is a marvelous idea.  It made me think of when I posted a wish that there was an alternative to American Idol.  I don't know what exactly you have in mind, but--WOW. The prizes for this contest in particular are fantastic!

One suggestion:  A video contest, with a prize of having the winning film shown as a featured short (You know, like that little birdy cartoon we've seen before a lot of movies in the theater--the one where they're all sitting on a wire and make fun of the stork and they end up getting sproinged from the wire when they peck him.)  Another prize could be a paid three month course at a prestigious film school.

another: a short story/poetry/first chapter contest. (Okay, that's three different contests)
The prize could be a session at a workshop with Chuck Palahniuk (I think he has them regularly)--and the community and contest could be advertized on his website (http://www.chuckpalahniuk.net/).

Good Morning,

Hmmm, let's see, how about a contest to see who can bring the most people into our McGill Community and have them join us.

Being that one way or another we all do some creative writing of sorts.  My daughter had a great idea for a contest,  Maybe put a sentence together or something and then see within some sort of time frame, who can make the most words out of the letters in the sentence.

I hope this gives some more ideas.

Hmmm. Contests. How about the top message posters of the month? That's pretty easy. Oh and we should like let people put up signatures in the form a of banners they've made and judge on those. That's pretty easy too since everyone photoshops lol. That's about it right now.
