Well, I didn't know my sissy had written til I got here..HAHAHA but I was going to write and tell you all everything my dad is going through this evening. My sister and I are so desperately worried for my daddy right now, and for both of us to show up on the same night to write, you know he is dealing with something really bad. I won't keep you all, my sister has already said everything that needs to be said, Just please pray for my dad. He is my very best friend in the world, and this is very very hard right now. I can not even put into words how badly my chest is hurting at this very moment, and these tears I can not seem to stop.
Just please pray for my dad.
Love,
Lori

pray, pray, pray, pray and then pray some more!!!
Unable to say much..I ask you only that you lift Dad in your prayers today. Specifically, remember the "angel" Brooke from Johns Hopkins that prayed the sweetest prayer ever for a mere stranger, my dad... she said..."Someone once told me that God loves it when the doctors tell them there is nothing else they can do, because that leaves room for God to perform his miracle". My first prayer of the day, was that my dad would wake feeling better than he had for two years, and feel like running to the top of the hill this morning.
I will write more at a later time, but for now I just wanted to ask all of you who have, and have continued to lift him up each day..to do so now more than ever. Huggs from a sappy daughter that shore does love her daddy

All of you are very much in my thoughts as always .. I know I post basically saying the same thing every time but I want you to know and remember that simple fact .. to remind you that the only distance between us is the physical one and there isn't a single day goes by that I do not wish for you wonderful people to have your prayers answered and for your miracle to happen .. and today is no different.
Be blessed .. feel loved,

VERY SAD UPDATE

I know many of you must be wondering about the post that my sister left. She didn't have time to elaborate because she had to go to work. But my dad's last Dr.s appointment did not go well.
Tuesday before last, They had to take him off of his Xeloda. His Chemo pill due to the fact that it was causing him severe chest pains. At that Dr.s appointment, I handed the dr a list of drugs and a regimine that had worked on another patient. Sherr y had searched this exhaustively for this. And this has been the Dr.'s attitude the whole time... "find me some drugs and we will try them" sort of thing. Seriously, those were the words that came out of his mouth! And I told my dad, Sherry and I can look the internet over, but the fact is, we are just 2 little house mommies that only have a masters degree in wiping butts and noses. We are not cancer Dr.s. I was very angry at his statement.
So this Tuesday, he went in because his Dr. told him, we will come up with something. Well, he came up with nothing. Told my father, "look I am out of resources, and it would be in your best interest if you just went to Baltimore, because I can no longer see you since there is nothing more I can do." Well, needless to say, my daddy took this VERY hard. And he took that to mean, he no longer had a Dr. He feels like he if facing this monster alone. How can a DOCTOR just GIVE UP ON YOU LIKE THAT? Sherry and I both are livid! I don't know what else to do. I feel like we are running out of time. He took my dad off the Tarceva too. So my dad is off everything! He has nothing working for him.
I called Heather, his Baltimore nurse that worked with Dr. Cameron, and spoke with her. She said, "you have to understand that if your father comes here, we will do everything in our power to save and cure him. BUT you also have to know that the next round of drugs is going to make him excruciatingly sick, I am talking gut wrenching pain. And suppose your father gets here, and has to be put on life support. There is no drug that will be able to control his pain. The pain is the most horrific pain on earth. We ofcourse can put him in coma but, he will still feel that pain. and He will be lying there experiencing it all. The options of taking him off lifesupport are not there. We are a hospital and we save lives. You would have to go to an attorney, and you would have to file papers to get him off. That could take 3 weeks. That means you dad would be in a place away from home, away from his kids, away from his wife."
So basically, We have been hit hard this week. Sherry and I have pretty much decided that we would like to take him to the Grand Canyon. He has always wanted to go there. And the whole family go to experience this with him. He deserves this. He deserves this memory. But I think this is going to take a miracle as well. I don't know where the finances will come from to take this trip that would would really love to take him on. If he is going to go Home to heaven, I want him to go with the vision of the trip he took with his family.
I am on my way out the door. I am taking him some food that I have cooked to last him a few days. And I am going to spend the night with him.
Blessings,
Lori

I've been reading through the agonizingly persevering tale right throughout . I pay humble salutations to your grit, determination and the phlegmatism that you’ve displayed all over through these painful travails. You and your family are always in the prayers; not a stereotypical statement this; but from my heart. God bless..

Sherry and Lori,
I have been away from the board for a few weeks just barely able to pop in infrequently for very short bits of time. I just read through all the updates and am crying for and with you. I cannot every imagine what this is doing to every individual in your family especially your dad. I will continue to pray and intercede for all of you and know full well that God is hearing every prayer. I wish there was more I could say to comfort you both.
Loving you and praying from afar.
Sincerely,
Jen

Please all start praying for dad. He is in a severe amount of pain. I just got called by my sister, Sherry. She is up there for this week. Just please pray all of us together for dad. Remember Jesus said, "for where 2 or 3 are gathered in my name I am there in the midst." So lets all gather in Jesus' name and pray that he will get some relief today..
