It has been a long road for Candace and the next leg of her journey is just beginning..

For those who have tagged along with us for this leg of the journey I wish to express gratitude for helping us. I must say that fund raising efforts have been painstaking, at times, yet it has all been worth the effort. Candace has learned a thing or two about perseverance and I have had my patience stretched to the limits, at times, and beyond!

 No pain, no gain.

On December 4th, 2007, we will be going to see Dr. Bauer at Children's Memorial Hospital where he will examine Candace and plan the next facial reconstructive surgery, set for June 2008. I honestly believe that this is coming at a wonderful time in her life. She is old enough to understand the need for the surgery.  She has a greater appreciation to those who have donated their time to raise money to get her to Chicago.

Bryant McGill, Hope and Support, Ms Deva, Mrs Clark, Ms Sims, Ms Briggs, Chase Von and so many, many others have been supportive, encouraging and patient in helping Candace and I in our cause.

Again, I simply wish to express gratitude from our family to you.

One love, one heart,
Mimi

We get our strength from our faith. Strong faith tells me that He will never give us more than We can bear. I know that I have to stay strong for my children and grandchildren. I thank God everyday for giving me the strength and perseverance.
