Adena Health System

Dear Ms. Caverley:

Thank you for talking with me when you were in the hospital and after you got home. Comments such as yours allow us the opportunity to review and improve the services we offer the community.

I am sorry that you were sick, went to the Emergency Department (ED) twice and were admitted directly from Dr Mowry's office the day after your second ED visit. Your concerns about the Emergency Department were referred to Don Houser, Director of Emergency Services, and Dr. Steve Schneider, Medical Director of the Emergency Department, for follow up with the involved physician.

Your concern regarding the medication mix up was referred to Scott Bryant, Manager of Pediatrics and the 3 North Nursing Unit, for follow up with the involved staff. Because this may have influenced your length of stay, we are adjusting off the charges for the last day of your visit. Karen Singleton, Manager of the Business Office, is facilitating this.

On our last conversation, you were concerned that your application for financial assistance was denied. I recommend that you speak with one of our financial counselors and resubmit your application with your documentation for reconsideratio n.

I apologize that your expectations were not met and hope future visits to Adena Health System are to your satisfaction.  Please feel free to call XXX-XXXX or X-XXX-XXX-XXXX if you have additional comments or questions.

Sincerely,

Jean Harral, RN

Thank you for those that lit a candle for us!

Your comments and prayers have been needed and much appreciated.

Miranda is still having HEADACHES, and DIZZINESS!!!

Her pulse was up to 105 SITTING DOWN today........

She hasn't had a full rest in over 5 days.

She can barely walk......

I see that she isn't giving up.

We decided to STOP taking her medications.

It seems that they have been promoting part of this problem.

Her stomach is acting normal so far.
Even after eating food with milk.

We will decide on finding a second opinion soon since we have been to THREE DOCTORS at her FAMILY facility and TWO different hospitals.

If only we could find a way to STOP the pain.

When I MASSAGE her neck that seems to help.

I have been staying up every night to try and ease her pain........

MIranda is going to be off work for 30 days..

This started on the 25 of January.

She has been to the chiropractor 2 times and will continue to go each week.

Her job is secure for now as she had to write a letter to her doctor requesting her info and give it to her work to put her in a leave of absence state.
